Pick the right format
Compare Tapping Tags products
A real, specs-and-price comparison so you can match the product to where it will actually sit.
All three Tapping Tags products do the identical job of opening a configured review page by tap or scan. What differs is how each one is held, mounted, or displayed, which is really a question about where in your business a customer's hands or eyes will be at the right moment.
Card vs. adhesive tag vs. acrylic stand
| Product | Price | Material | Size | Mounting |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Card | $18.90 | PVC | Pocket-sized | Handheld |
| Acrylic Tag | $27.00 | Acrylic | 4 × 4 × 0.15 in | Adhesive-mounted |
| Acrylic Stand | $38.50 | Acrylic | 4.25 × 3.10 × 0.15 in | Freestanding |
The card is sold single or in packs of 3, 5, or 10, and can be handheld or slipped into a check presenter or folder. The tag has an adhesive backing that sticks to a wall, door, or counter. The stand is freestanding and needs no adhesive or tools to set up.
All three carry the same NFC tap point and printed QR code, ship pre-configured with your business's review link, need no battery, and are a one-time purchase with no subscription.
Which one fits which situation
- Choose the card when a person, not a fixed spot, is doing the asking - handed over with a receipt, tucked into a folder, or carried by staff. It is the only format built to move around.
- Choose the adhesive tag when you have one specific surface a customer's eyes land on every time, such as a door on the way out or the wall behind a register, and you never want to move it.
- Choose the acrylic stand when you want something upright and self-supporting at a counter, front desk, or table, without sticking anything down or drilling into a surface you do not control (useful in a leased space).
When none of the three is the right tool: if you need review requests to reach customers who never visit a physical location - for example a fully remote service, or an online-only store - a physical card, tag, or stand cannot reach them, because a customer has to be standing near the product to tap or scan it. That is a case for a digital review request instead of a physical one.
NFC vs. QR
Every product carries both, so this is less a choice and more a question of which one a given customer will actually use in the moment.
- NFC tap is faster when it works: no camera app to open, just a moment held against the marked area on a compatible, unlocked phone.
- QR scan is the more universal route: it works on any phone with a functioning camera, regardless of NFC hardware or whether NFC is switched on. See the NFC phone compatibility guide for what each platform needs.
Because both are printed on the same product, you are never choosing one over the other for a customer; you are giving them a second route in case the first does not work for their phone.
