Tap and scan options simplify the route to a review page by removing search steps while leaving the decision with the customer.
Remove search steps
Without a direct prompt, a customer may need to search for a business, choose the right listing, and find the review control. An NFC card can replace much of that navigation with a close-range tap and a phone prompt.
The QR code provides the same destination through the camera for customers who prefer to scan. The final page, account requirements, connectivity, and browser behavior remain outside the card.
Keep both routes clear
Label the prompt so customers know that tapping or scanning opens a review page. Keep the NFC mark and QR code visible, flat, clean, and easy to approach. Test both routes instead of assuming that one successful tap proves everything.
When a destination changes, retest the card and the printed code. A simplified process is only useful when it reaches the correct page reliably.
Do not turn simple into pressured
A shorter route should still be voluntary. Ask consistently, give customers time and space, and accept that some will decline. Never require a review before completing service or offer a benefit for feedback.
The practical measure is a clear, functioning prompt, not a review from every interaction.
